FREESTYLE/GRECO-ROMAN

LAKE COUNTY WRESTLING CLUB

FREESTYLE/GRECO-ROMAN OFF-SEASON TRAINING

Freestyle & Greco-Roman (FS/GR) are the two styles wrestled in the Olympics. Both emphasize wrestling on your feet and back exposure for scoring, versus Folkstyle's emphasis of control.  Greco-Roman concentrates on holds above the waist and using dominant ties to create offense. Contrary to popular belief, Greco-Roman is not solely focused on throwing technique.  Freestyle is very similar to Folkstyle on your feet.

The best kids in the USA wrestle FS/GR in the Off-Season. In order to improve in wrestling, you need to chase your best competition.

Our goal is to qualify as many of our wrestlers as possible for the USMC Mens' and Womens' U16 and JR National Championships (Fargo)
